Warm-up Strategies
Volume-ramp plans for new IPs and domains, calibrated to vertical, content and target recipient distribution. The wrong warm-up produces a reputation that cannot be repaired; the right one is invisible.
Overview
Warm-up is the process of gradually establishing sending reputation on new IPs and domains. Its shape depends on target volume, vertical, provider distribution and the content that will follow. There is no single correct curve.
Northbound writes and executes warm-up plans that start with high-engagement segments (recent openers, transactional recipients) at low volume, expanding to full sending as reputation stabilises. Every step is measured, and plans are adjusted based on Postmaster, SNDS and placement signals rather than fixed calendar days.
Benefits
- Warm-up curves calibrated to your traffic, not a template
- Signals-driven progression (not calendar-driven)
- Roll-back plan if reputation stalls
