IwamotoScott Architects won $10,000 in City Of The Future Contest. Their winning entry was a vision of San Fransisco in the year 2018 with a Hydro-Net concept that includes what they call a "Geothermal Mushroom” located on the top of Bernal Hill and a “Fog Flower” on Ocean Beach.
Hydro-Net consists of an underground traffic network for hydro cars while the collecting and storing of the water and power comes from the geothermal sources beneath San Fransisco.
The idea is to place Hydro-Net at key places to form connections between the terrestrial and underground worlds.
An absolutely amazing vision of already one of the greenest cities of the world.
